The Right Attire for Club Hopping

When going club hopping, you want to look chic and trendy, yet feel comfortable in your clothes. While what someone wears is a personal decision based on their comfort level and their body type, there are several trends that look great on everyone. Here are a few examples.

Sleeveless Vests

Whether a man or a woman, a sleeveless vest is a great way to stay cool and still look trendy. Paired over a sequined tank for women, or over a cotton tank or graphic tee for a man, sleeveless vests are a must-have item for summer 2011. Tailored pants or skirts for women are preferred as many clubs ask for no jeans or loose-fitting clothing. Republic clothes offer many pieces that would work great with this look.

Dress Shoes

It’s important that one is comfortable when going from club to club. However, most clubs have strict dress codes so men should always wear polished dress shoes, while women should opt for heels. Designer shoes are a great choice as clubbing encourages the elite to show off their wardrobe and shoe collection. Make sure your shoes are properly cleaned before stepping into line to enter a club.

Button-downs

A button-down dress shirt is always a sure thing for a man going club hopping. Ultimately, clothing for men is diverse to fit the needs of each man and his individual style. This means that there are a variety of styles and cuts of button-down’s that will satisfy nearly any man looking for an outfit to go out clubbing. Different designs, patterns and colors are available when choosing a button-down shirt.

What’s in Style for Summer?

This spring and summer, fashion will be taking a new turn.  Many clothing lines are offering new selections based on intriguing colors and patterns.  No matter the shopper’s preference, there will be something for everyone.

For women, colors can be bright, muted, or in stark contrast within the same outfit.  Really, anything goes.  Many people are gravitating toward lighter hues such as white, cream, beige, and light brown tones.  Of course, these neutral colors work easily in many situations and on many body types, so they are easily the favorite with a variety of shoppers.  For the bolder image, bright colors such as orange combined with contrasting black and white patterns can accent curves or hide undesirable features with ease.

Soft Strappy High Heels

Simply put, shoes can make or break an ensemble.  Choosing shoes that have classic style is not the only option this summer. Lacy boots, high heels with a chunky look, or sandals adorned with gems of all colors and sizes are perfectly acceptable.  Depending on the outfit, shoes that add flair and style to clothing are what shoppers desire.  Designers such as Prada, Gucci, and Mui Mui offer some of the most popular high-end styles, and J.Crew as well as valuable store brands may have the solution.  Strappy, soft heels and wedge heels are offered just about anywhere and can complete many looks.

Summer is almost here.  To have what it takes to look and feel great, many shoppers will turn to local stores and buy their clothing online.  For additional assistance or to find great accessories for any outfit, visit a department store nearby.

Where to Get the Looks for Summer Clubbing

When the summer heat rolls around, it’s time to peel off those extra layers, revel in the sun, and fill up steamy nights with fun that goes on into the wee hours of the morning. Sounds like it’s time to hit the clubs. You don’t need to jet to Ibiza for the best drum and bass; chances are pretty good there’s a fabulous club right around the corner. Before you meet up with your mates though, you need to find the right attire for a round of club hopping.

Uncover the Dress Code

There are lots of different types of clubs, so one ensemble may not cut it for every club you want to visit. Upscale clubs dubbed sophisticated and stylish won’t look kindly on ripped jeans and a faded tee, while there are plenty of places that wouldn’t bat at eye at very casual duds. If you’re unsure of a club’s dress code, ask around; some of your friends or schoolmates may have already paid it a visit. If your group is trying a club for the first time, see if it has a website for a clue on the attire. If all else fails, choose an outfit that falls somewhere in the middle.

The Right Shoes

In many situations, style trumps comfort. When you’re planning on spending the next eight hours dancing though, it’s a good idea to at least attempt to strike a balance between fashionable and functional. The right Clubbing shoes will vary with the club’s style; dress shoes for men and sexy heels for women are common club footwear easily found at places like party stores. Women can keep stiletto pain at bay with a few sticky shoe cushions.

Sexy Styling for the Ladies…

Clubbing is all about dancing your heart out and meeting a few nice people along the way, so looking drop dead gorgeous is the grooving girl’s goal. For non tee and shorts clubs, a sexy fitted dress in an eye catching color will do the trick. A satiny top that dips just right paired with skinny pants, high heels, and sparkling jewelry is a summer clubbing look that’s as hot as the weather. No need to go to special boutiques; a mall cruise will provide you with the perfect pieces.

…And the Men

Most men can pull off sexy at the club with nothing more than a good button down. Because they can easily be dressed up or down depending on the club’s style, a button down is a great choice easily found at your favorite mall stop. The right jeans can be perfect for both casual and upscale clubs as well; keep them fitted and rip-free. If the casual club experience is more your style, you probably have the right ensemble in your closet: a fitted tee and a pair of All Stars.

The most important part of a great clubbing outfit is one you can’t buy: confidence. When paired with that sexy tank top or that black dress shirt, a little self-assurance is what makes the whole look really sparkle. What are you wearing to the club?

Shoes in todays world

Shoes were constructed by a gentleman by the name of Thomas Beard who was once a pilgrim.  He constructed the pair of shoes by nailing them together.  It was at that time that others had found out how to make moccasins from the Indians.  The moccasins became so popular indeed that they were sent to other countries to be bought.  America opened it’s first manufacturing site of shoes in the late 1700′s.  Since the eighteenth century leather has been a commonality among shoe makers.   With the economy these days prices of materials to make such shoes have grown increasingly expensive.  With that in mind shoe makers have turned to rubber and artificial materials for producing a pair of shoes.

On average a woman will purchase roughly 5 pairs of shoes each and every year.  The average American man will only purchase 2 pairs of shoes each year.  That should give you a clear indication who prefers shoes.  It’s always been known that the women are the shoe buyers.  It has been said the sometimes the mens shoes remain in fashion longer then the women.  How true can this be if they only purchase 2 pairs of shoes each year?  They might last longer then the average woman, but to say they will remain in fashion is a fiction.

When shoes are produced they are made in approximately 150 different sizes, lengths and widths to accommodate everyone.  At what size do they stop making the shoe?  Size 10?  Size 11?  Are shoe makers willing to make sizes bigger for the consumer if need be?  If so, how would one go about ordering directly from the manufacturer.  This information would be great to have since each individual ends up with a different size shoe.

Fashionable shoes

I’m sure at some point or another we have all been introduced to platform shoes, sandals, boots, clogs and the like.  All of these types of shoes are ancient.  How ancient you might be wondering?  These shoes are no less then 400 years old.  Most of what you find today doesn’t even remotely compare to those of the European Era.  Today these shoes are much more flatter then those of recent days.  Shoe styles have and still do represent those of the upper class. In different countries the sandals represented or showed rank.  Most people went barefoot or constructed sandals made out of palm leaves.  In ancient Greece it was unheard of if women had less then 20 pairs of shoes with a shoe to match for every outfit or special occasion.  It is a common theory for some cultures for newlyweds to have the father of the bride throw his shoes to signify charge from father to husband.  In other cultures it was common for couples to exchange shoes rather then rings.  You might signify the Dutch with wooden shoes.  Japan is known for wooden shoes mounted on blocks that can be as high as three or four inches high that’s been the custom for many many years.  In fourteenth century points of shoes grew so big that shoes had to be tied to the persons leg just below the knee.  Just about everyone did not like fashion of the pointy shoes.  Most claimed that they weren’t able to kneel correctly in a church.  In some place the length of the shoe was limited to a particular size.  In the sixteenth century women began wearing high heeled shoes so tall in fact that the person wearing the shoe was literally standing on her tip toes.  Heels became so high eventually that they weren’t worn due to the height of them.  Prostitutes were known to wear Stilettos, and in some instances the shoes were banned because of the death rate.

Those were the days!

These days when we look for shoes, we tend to look and buy the design we like rather then the feel for comfort.  Shoes all too often cause numerous problems including but not limited to corns, calluses, and arthritis.  Not only do shoes protect ones feet, and keep them warm but shoes have been looked at for years as a fashion statement.  It wasn’t until the early twentieth century that shoes became a significant role in fashion.  Dresses for women became shorter, so therefore people were able to see their shoes.  Shoes were often made to reflect if they were for a male, female or child.  Pumps also known as high heels were worn to make a woman look that of great height. No other shoe out there has had much controversy as to sexuality, or elegance as that of the heel. Heels were also looked at as a ‘man getter’.  Stiletto shoes made women look sensual.  Most women who wore stilettos were banned from entering public buildings because the shoes caused severe damage to floors.  When the mini skirt was invented in the early 1960′s stilettos were attached to boots to make the ladies legs stand out.  Stilettos quickly went out of style.  In the 1950′s stores that sold shoes often had an x-ray machine that when the customer would put on their shoes, they would take an x-ray to see the bones inside the shoe to determine the correct size for the customer.  It wasn’t until the early 1960′s that shoes were made with more color and were made with different textures, such as snake skin, crocodile skin, and leather.  Platform shoes became a hit during the 1970′s.  This was a time where many individuals expieremented with sex and drugs as well as fashion.  Most would dress to surprise everyone with vibrant colors and platform shoes.    As time and fashion changes so will that of shoes.

Smart Shoe Shopping

Your shoes are one of the most important types of items that you wear. Not only can they enhance an outfit, but if you shop wisely and find something that’s comfortable as well as fashionable, your shoes can help you look great even the events of your day require you to stand for long periods of time.

Whether you are choosing a pair of shoes from your closet as you’re getting ready for work in the morning, or shopping at the mall for the perfect way to complement your newest outfit, consider the usual weather patterns in your area, especially if you are buying the shoes for everyday use. For example, if you live in a place that gets a lot of rainfall throughout the year, you may want to buy shoes that can hold up to wet conditions and have soles with good traction. Of course, there are exceptions to the rule, particularly if you are buying a pair of shoes for a special event, but in general, if you want to get the best value for the money that you spend, choose shoes that are versatile as well as stylish.

We all have times where we choose to sacrifice comfort in order to be fashionable, but ideally, your shoes should be a balance between fashion and comfort. Make sure to choose the proper size, and ensure that the footbed is wide enough so that your foot can rest on it without being cramped. Finally, if you know that you will be on your feet for several hours at a time, consider buying special inserts to further support your foot as you are wearing your favorite pair of shoes.
